The National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas ends today. This is the event where all of the different software, hardware and video equipment companies release their new products. I'll actually be in Vegas tomorrow, and hopefully I can catch the very tail end of the festivities. As soon as I find out, I'll be posting the best of the best of this year's releases. For now, here are the two cameras that are competing for my heart.
The Panasonic HVX200
And the JVC GY-HD100
The Panasonic shoots low-compression HD on tapeless P2 solid state memory, and the JVC has fully interchangable 16mm lenses. WHY CAN"T EITHER ONE HAVE BOTH!?

The Purpose of This Site
Hi, my name is Anton. I am a filmmaker. This site has been set up as a resourse for other filmmakers looking for inside information and common experience in the world of visual storytelling. Posts on this site will consist of reccomendations on camera equipment, editing equipment, various production experiences, movie reviews, and any other information which might be useful to those trying to make it in the world of film and video production.
To get the ball rolling, here are some films I reccomend:
